Anyone up for a Bock Party?!?!

Just in time to finish a week of fun we have one last treat... Hot off the presses from the island is Phillips Springbock!!!

Traditional German style Maibock: light and crisp with distinctive hops and characteristic finish.  Good thing its all sunshine this weekend, because this brew is meant to go with May flowers and nice Gastown patios.

bock party... can't stop, won't stop.

Craft Beer Week continues in Vancouver!

As various events continue throughout the city celebrating amazing craft beers this week, we announcing our second limited release: Driftwood Breweries Belle Royale!!!

Belle Royale is a Belgian Strong Ale made with 900lbs of B.C. cherries!!  The beautiful pinkish golden hue of this beer holds within it tart and sweet cherry flavours, Belgian yeasts, and warming 9% alcohol! Exceptional balance and pairs well with the warm weather we've been having!!!

Sadly, again, the Belle will have a limited run of 12 bottles at the Acres and then we'll have to wait for next year.

Its Here!! VCBW is May 10th – 15th!!!

Vancouver Craft Beer Week is finally upon us and we're getting started with one of our favourite B.C. seasonal brews: Phillips Double Barrel Scotch Ale!!!

If you didn't get to try any of the first vintage last year, don't fret, this one is amazing.   Oak aging in not only Bourbon but also wine casks gives this scotch ale serious notes of sweet vanilla and toffee.  The Bourbon is definitely there too, along with the oak, but neither are overpowering.  This is a creamy smooth, full beer (not to mention a little bit dangerous at 7.7%!!!).

Its a big start to the week and we have more surprises lined up as Vancouver Craft Beer Week continues, so I'll keep you posted.

Vancouver Craft Beer Week!!

Next week is the very first Vancouver Craft Beer Week and we are really excited!  To celebrate, we'll be bringing in a couple B.C. microbrews that we have never had at the acreage before.  I'm not going to say exactly what they are until next week - hush, hush sort of stuff - but I'm sure you are going to like em'!!

Cheers to all the great B.C. microbreweries!

Hooray Craft Beer!!
